Go to DOWNLOAD PAGE FOR REGISTRATION FORMS Morning Adult Fitness for 2008: In 2007 Chris Swensen hosted early morning lap swimming from 5:45 - 7:00AM on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Members who are interested should ensure that they are on Chris’s e-mail distribution list so that if he has to cancel a session he will be able to contact them. Guests are welcome for the weekday $3.00 guest fee. cswensen11@comcast.net Swim Lessons – Swimming lessons will
be available to all children of the club, free of charge. Lessons will
run for two weeks and consist of 10 half-hour sessions. The sessions
will be assigned, by the pool manager, based on the order of receipt of
the registration forms. Members
participating on Mini-Team may not also take Swim Lessons. Session I June 9 - June 20, 2008 Session II June 23 - July 3, 2008 Session III July 7 - July 18, 2008 CLASS TIMES A) 10 – 10:30 AM B) 10:45 - 11:15AM Sessions will be assigned on a first come, first served basis based on the order of receipt of the registration form accompanied by the yearly maintenance fee. Children must be at least five (5) years old to be registered. As explained on the registration form, a session consists of ten (10) half-hour lessons Monday-Friday. Complete the form and return it with your annual maintenance fee payment, mail it to the address indicated, or drop it off in the office. Each session has classes for the Beginner and Intermediate level as defined below: LEVEL 1 (Beginning swimming)

Able to
stand in the shallow end of the pool unassisted (3 feet deep). LEVEL 2 (Intermediate swimming)

Able to
float on front and back unassisted/unsupported (3 - 4 feet deep). Water Babies – Water babies classes are offered to pre-schoolers and their parents in the evenings usually in late July. Two one week sessions are typically held and are tailored to the registered participants. A 30 minute class is held for babies 6 months to 2 years old and another class for 3 and 4 year olds. Please see the pool manager for registration. Water Aerobics – Water aerobics is a good low impact workout that uses water resistance to build muscle and cardiovascular fitness. The club will be offering this program on weekdays once schools have closed for the summer. We are also exploring the possibility of having a water aerobics class for children. This will be determined by the amount of interest expressed by the members. Please e-mail the swim chairman to show your interest or see the water aerobics instructor at the pool. Begins in June. Mon-Wed-Fri from 1:00-2:00PM. See Swimming Bulletin Board for updates. Adult Physical Fitness – The club will have an adult physical fitness program this year. The program will include lap swimming and stroke improvement. Session times/days will be determined according to the interest of the participants. There will be one session two to three days a week either in the early morning hours or in the evenings. DIVING LESSONS: BSR invites members to register for a new lesson program that we are re-introducing this year – Diving. Registration forms are available in the BSR office or on the web site and should be completed and returned with the registration fees per the instructions below. Diving Lesson Registration Form (get latest off Forms Page)- Click Here for 2008 Form BSR BARRACUDA SWIM TEAM BSR Swim Team – The BSR Swim Team is one team consisting of many swimmers interested in competing in our program. The team will also be involved in many other activities throughout the summer season. (See schedule on web-site.) The team will have several meets during the summer season for all swimmers to compete in and enjoy being a part of our enthusiastic “Barracuda” team. There will be five Prince-Mont. Swim League meets, several “B” meets and “mini” meets. Special meets include the Bowie City Meet, Bowie City Relays, Divisional Championships, and the All-Star Invitational Meet. Swim Team Registration – See Swim Team Page. There is a yearly registration fee for all swim team members to help defray the cost of team activities. Registration forms are available on the web-site. Forms will also be available at the open house, and at the Pool Office. Swim Team Suits – See Swim Team Page. Order forms will be available at open house or from the Swim Chair (or can ask Swim Coach for info). Members should deal directly with Metro Swim Shop. LIFE GUARD TRAINING SESSIONS: Begins in August.
